wedding planning- game on!

So, Bryce and I were engaged on June 2nd. I had NOOO idea was surprised as hell and have THEE most beautiful ring ever. (Bryce did such a great job) Now we are knee deep in our wedding plans. First- everything is waay backwards- the honeymoon is booked- reception site is what I'd like to say 75% booked. We know who we want to cater- but I need to make an appt. We are making photographer appointments- wedding cake browsing- talked to the DJ, and continuinge our side convo's when we least expect to talk about things like-- do we buy beer and wine or go with the caterers? Or, I think we can do the centerpieces and invites ourselves what do you think? We want what everyone wants- a beautiful day to remember- a day everyone can remember and say- hey do you remember their wedding- we had such a great time- it was so nice.

THAT SAID....
Having been already married once- big big wedding - whole 9 yards- I can honestly appreciate the process this time and am savoring every moment. I am way more cogniscent of the potholes and traps you can easily fall into with trying to make one of the most special days of your life just that. Additionally-its not just the two of us-- we have two children that are very aware of things happening in our lives. They are such an important part of our lives- and to have them both there is the icing on the cake (*note to self to warn them no fingers in the cake that day).
THEREFORE- I thought this would be a great place for me to dump my ideas, photos, etc- talk it through with myself and others *the world of course... and just have a place for my family and friends to check things out on. I hope to post often as everything still appears to be moving at the speed of light... but I always believe the more work on the front end- the better the outcome in the end... im optimistic :)
